Job Summary:

Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. Maintains contact with staff, vendors and clients and observes confidentiality of patient and company matters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes computerized accounting software programs (MAS, Excel, Word) to perform duties and responsibilities.
  • Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Maintains and balances balance sheet accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
  • Reviews general ledger accounts reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
  • Produces payroll by initiating computer processing; printing checks, verifying finished product. Completes external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts; providing information for auditors.
  • Researches cash receipts, coding and posting of receipts.
  • Daily bank deposit reconciliation and upload.
  • Develops automated spreadsheets.
  • Document policies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Organizes and maintains up to date financial records.
  • Provides monthly financial and management reports and others as required.
  • Maintains telephone and personal contact with staff and vendors on receivable matters as directed by manager.
  • Reads, uses and is familiar with computer systems manuals and procedures, maintains and updates procedural manuals as needed.


  • Accounting degree required
  • Understand of GAAP and knowledge of Statutory accounting principles
  • Must have experience with and be proficient with MAS
  • Experience working in medical profession or services organization a plus
  • At least five years of experience required
  • Must have knowledge of AR/AP and inventory accounting
  • Must be very proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction
