Job Summary:
Responsible for doing psychiatric evaluations and managing continuing care patients within a very dynamic, integrative assessment and treatment model. Will be trained in the use of functional brain imaging, qEEGs, nutraceuticals, and functional medicine tools as part of a larger, whole-person approach to patient assessment and treatment. May also be assisting with phone calls from patients to our psychiatrists regarding medication side-effects, etc., as well as other assigned tasks which fall within the scope of the Nurse Practitioner license.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Performing psychiatric evaluations within a 2-3 day, multi-modal assessment model which combines an in-depth history, psychological testing, functional brain scans, and two hour time with the clinician.
  • Respond to patient and pharmacy phone calls concerning medications or other issues
  • Conduct patient follow-up appointments (via telephone, videoconference, or in person)
  • Act as collaborative liaison between patient and physicians
Interacts frequently with patients, physicians, other clinic personnel, and outside referral sources by telephone, email, and personal contact.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Certified Nurse Practitioner; prefer Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
  • Prescription writing privileges, including scheduled drugs in states in which it is allowed
Knowledge and Skills and abilities:
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
Provide excellent psychiatric care to patients (including medication management and implementation of multi-modal treatment plans), ability to collaborate with psychiatrists and functional medicine physicians, and all other duties within the scope of certified Nurse Practitioner
