Job Title: Patient Care Coordinator
Reports to: Clinic Manager/Director
Job Summary:
Ideal candidate has some leadership experience or leadership ability. Responsible for assisting in the daily administrative operations of the clinic’s front office and patient services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Answering phones, taking messages, transferring calls to appropriate person.
· Scheduling patient appointments.
· Filing patient charts and correspondence.
· Delivering appropriate paper work to doctors, scan technician, historians, etc.
· Assembling charts, check in/out patients including: explaining paperwork to be filled out, taking payments, selling merchandise, etc., various administrative tasks, i.e. copying and faxing as requested.
· Assisting patients with questions regarding insurance claims.
· Insure all patient forms/clinic information remains current
· Orders various supplies for clinic as directed
· Oversee patient billing and collections
· Acts as leader, role model and consultant for other patient care coordinators, training new hires as needed

Interactions:
Interacts frequently with patients, clinic personnel and outside referral sources personnel by telephone, correspondence and personal contact.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Experience in Management Preferred
High School Diploma; College experience preferred
Minimum of 3-5 years patient care experience
Ability to multi-task and shift projects
Clean and professional appearance
Ability to solve problems
Positive attitude with a friendly demeanor
Desire to help people; patience and understanding;
Reliable and hard working and willing to go the extra mile.
Knowledge of Visionary Medical software helpful, but not necessary; experience in health care field helpful, but not necessary;
Knowledge and Skills and abilities:
· Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to work in a team environment
