Job Summary:
Perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. Maintains contact with staff and vendors and observes confidentiality of patient and company matters.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Review and verify invoices and check requests for appropriate documentation
· Sort, code and match invoices
· Enter invoices into system
· Set invoices up for payment
· Process expense reports and patient refunds
· Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
· Prepare and perform check runs
· Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records
· Reconcile accounts payable transactions
· Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
· Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
· Maintain vendor files
· Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
· Produce monthly reports
· Assist with month end closing
· Provide supporting documentation for audits
· Reconcile bank statements and daily cash deposits
· Preparation and review of 1099’s at year end. Including all electronic filings
 
Requirements/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
 
· High school diploma required, college courses in accounting preferred
· Knowledge of accounts payable
· Knowledge of general accounting procedures
· Knowledge of Sage 100 (MAS) accounting software
· Knowledge of Concur expense reporting
· Proficient in data entry and management
· 3+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
· 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience
· Must have strong work ethics
· Must be well organized and a self-starter
· Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
· Possess strong organizational and time management skills
· Strong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
· Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
· Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
· Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
· Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division quickly and accurately Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction
· Must be a team player
